If you register for an event through our website, we process the information you provide in the registration form: first name, last name, email address, and optionally phone number, fraternity affiliation, and a message. This data is used exclusively to organise and run the respective event, in particular to maintain the participant list and to send a registration confirmation. The legal basis is the consent you give in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
The registration confirmation is sent via the email service provider Resend. In this process, your email address and the event details necessary for the confirmation are transmitted to Resend.
We additionally temporarily store the IP address of the registration to detect and prevent abuse (e.g. mass automated registrations by bots). The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in a functional registration system free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Registration data is only accessible to the responsible person via a password-protected admin area. We store the data for the duration of the preparation and running of the event, plus a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up, and delete it thereafter unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
